AI Shortcuts

Save your most-used AI prompts for one-click access.

AI Shortcuts are reusable text transformations. Create shortcuts for tasks you do frequently — fix grammar, translate, summarize — and apply them instantly.

When to use: Great for repetitive tasks. Instead of typing the same prompt every time, save it as a shortcut and apply it with one click.

Creating a Shortcut

  1. Go to Settings → AI Shortcuts
  2. Click "Add Shortcut"
  3. Choose an emoji and name (e.g., "✨ Fix Grammar")
  4. Write your prompt template
  5. Use {{selectedText}} where the input text should go
  6. Optionally select a specific model

Default model: Set your default model in Settings → AI Shortcuts → Default Model. Individual shortcuts can override this.

Using Shortcuts

There are two ways to use AI Shortcuts:

Via Omnibar

  1. Copy text to clipboard (or select text first)
  2. Press Show Omnibar hotkey
  3. Type the shortcut name
  4. Press Enter
  5. Result is copied/pasted

Via Command Mode

  1. Select text in any app
  2. Press Command Mode hotkey
  3. Say the shortcut name
  4. Text is transformed in place

Tips

Be Specific in Prompts

"Fix grammar and spelling, keeping the same tone" gives better results than just "fix this."

Use Descriptive Names

Name shortcuts clearly so you can find them quickly in the Omnibar. "Translate Spanish" is better than "Spanish."

Choose the Right Model

Fast models work great for simple tasks. Use more capable models for complex writing or analysis.
