Getting Started
Ottex connects to your company’s identity provider through OpenID Connect (OIDC).
How it works
- Ottex app: dictation, meeting recording, and transcripts.
- Your identity provider: employee sign-in, SSO, and MFA policies.
- Ottex backend: validates access tokens and routes requests to your configured AI providers.
Employees sign in with their company account. Ottex opens the browser for authentication, then resumes in the app.
What you need
- Backend: an HTTPS endpoint reachable by employees.
- Identity provider: an OIDC connection and permission to register a web application.
- AI providers: configured endpoints and credentials. These providers process the audio and text sent to them.
Connect Ottex
- Configure OIDC on your identity provider and backend.
- In your Ottex configuration document, set
endpoints.api.defaultto the backend URL. Keep the remaining app defaults and model definitions. - In the app, set Configuration URL to that document’s URL. Check Effective API URL.
- Sign in with a company account and test dictation.
